I’ve been emulating rpgmaker vx games on Android and it looks like custom tiles are reverting to default vx tiles somehow. Tried both the japanese originals and translated patches just in case that might be affecting it somehow, but no difference. Games are running fine otherwise. I’ve installed the VX RTP as required (the games are definitely made in VX and not in VX ace). None of the VX Ace games I’m emulating are having this problem.

I am using Joiplay 1.20.550. I remember emulating the above game in Joiplay a year ago (earlier version presumably) w/ no such problems.
Help appreciated!! Also insights on what’s actually going on here technically
